We booked Hire a Chef to cater for our family dinner while on our holiday in the Blue Mountains in July. We chose to have a private chef as it enabled our family to relax and not be in the confines of a restaurant (we have three grand children 2, 8 and 10 years). It was the best decision! Chef Nino and his amazing assistant Tayane arrived with bucket loads of food. The grazing platter was amazing, mains fantastic (best gratin ever!!) and plentiful and the desserts heavenly.We will definitely be contacting Matt to cater our next family celebration. I firstly never thought there was such a thing to hire and have chef come to your home to serve for a function. I was excited to find that Hire a Chef would do just that. I recently organised a hen's night at an Airbnb in the Blue Mountains and organised for Mathew to come and serve three courses for a large group of ladies. The food was spectacular, the service was amazing, we had a waiter to serve us and best of all clean up. We didn't have to lift a finger. Hire-a Chef catered the reception after our son's garden wedding. Matt was great to communicate with, always quick to respond and helpful with suggestions and lots of options and choices. We wanted a casual feel so had canapes which were provided over a three hour period. He adapted some of my food choices to suit our vegetarian guests and the chef and waitress on site were very professional but also very friendly and the food was fabulous and plenty of it. Every guest I spoke to afterwards commented on the quality of food. Everything was made from fresh ingredients on site and tasted delicious and the kitchen was left clean and tidy and all guests satiated after a lovely celebration. Hire a chef recently catered our cocktail style wedding and what a huge success it was! They came highly recommended from a family friend and I am so glad we had them their on our big day. Matt provided the lunch for our society's 70th birthday party for 100 people. From the first time we contacted him, Matt was prompt, helpful and reliable. (And very supportive as I organised my first big function since my retirement ). Also, he understood that working with a committee is not always plain sailing.

And ready to go with absolutely no fuss. He even helped us put a few chairs outside. And now the food - he had helped us sort out a great menu on paper and the reality was even better. Very tasty Moroccan lamb, great moist roast beef and a vegetarian Pumpkin and pea risotto that everyone wanted to try. There was not one complaint about the food; everyone loved it.
